Our objective

Giving a

Our objective is to help ensure protection, education and well-being for people living in situations of difficulty.

We intervene at times and in situations where concrete support can make a difference, placing the person and what they actually need at the centre.

Our work includes educational, health, food, psychosocial and protection interventions, as well as recreational, sports and artistic opportunities.

We believe that helping does not necessarily mean offering the same response to everyone. Different situations require different responses.

That is why we seek to direct our resources according to people’s concrete needs, so that the support provided is truly useful.

Our approach

Every intervention
starts with a
need.

There is no single solution for every situation. That is why we first seek to understand the need, and then intervene with what can truly be useful.

Understand the need.

We start from the person’s, family’s or community’s concrete situation to understand what is truly necessary.

Take concrete action.

We define the support according to the identified need and the resources available, with clear and realistic objectives.

Accompany the journey.

When necessary, support continues through monitoring the situation and evaluating the intervention carried out.

Rwanda.

La Levure Foundation operates in Kigali, Rwanda, in a context where different social and economic conditions can create significant differences in access to opportunities.

Some people and families may face difficulties accessing education, food, healthcare or other essential services.

It is in this context that we choose to focus part of our work: identifying concrete needs and helping to build equally concrete responses.

Our presence in the community allows us to develop relationships with people, families and local organisations and to direct interventions towards needs that have actually been identified.
